The OEM plastic turbo inlet on MQB EA888 Gen3 engines is restrictive by design — it tapers down and limits the air volume your turbo can pull at higher boost levels. This aluminium-flanged silicone inlet pipe opens up the flow path with a 54mm internal diameter, giving the turbo more to work with on both 1.8T and 2.0T applications.
