Wheel Hanger

Looks can be deceiving – Just by looking at this small plastic gadget, one would never guess what a nifty and irreplaceable tool it can turn out to be… what do I mean?, well this tool is a total energy and time saver, specifically made for changing of a wheel or in some cases, wheels. We all know the struggle and fight with the weight of the wheel, whilst trying to balance it and fit in at least one wheel nut to secure a mounting point, now imagine releasing you have to repeat this entire process for another wheel or two… exhausting!
This wheel hanger made the job of changing my wheel less frustrating and much more comfortable and easy. I didn’t know it existed before, neither have I seen or come across many people using this tool.

I found the design quite smart. So I must point out there are two ways of using a wheel hanger, one is when you are taking off your wheel and the other is you’re when fitting it on.
To use the tool when taking off the wheel, you would need to loosen all wheel nuts but do not remove them just yet. Remove the top wheel nut, that being the wheel nut highest from the ground. Replace that wheel nut with the wheel hanger, then proceed to remove the remaining wheel nuts. You can then remove the wheel from the wheel hub, as if you are removing an item of clothing off a hanger.
The process is pretty much a reverse in steps, except the ease will come in when fitting the wheel back to the wheel hub. Just as done when removing the wheel from the hub, you would place the wheel hanger in the top-most wheel nut,then slide the wheel over the wheel hanger. The wheel hanger would then act as a ”hanger” or hoist, holding up the wheel for you. You can now align and tighten the remaining wheel nuts and remove the wheel hanger, then fit in your last wheel nut.
Now, knowing this was simple and straight forward, think of the ease and reduced time taken if you were stuck on the side of the road, especially for females.

There are two groups of people who would appreciate the wheel hanger – one is the guys (or girls) who are always working on their cars, going out to race events, or simply just for use in workshops and garages.
The other group is for us who struggle to change to a wheel and lack the strength to hold up it up, with cars having bigger rims and wheels, which can lead to physical challenges when changing it.

I recommend the tool based on reduced effort and time of changing a wheel. The reduced time is also a plus, especially when your safety is put at risk. The tool is appropriately sized to easily store away in cars, and it is relatively cheap depending on how it is made.
The metal-based tool design is perfect, both ECSTuning and Amazon have them and these will be a longer-lasting tool.

It’s easy to use the tool, no need for instructions, its quite self-explanatory.

A downfall is that the tool can not be tightened hard and must be used you gently.
